State Educational Institution Belarusian Medical Academy of Post-Graduate Education, a unique educational and scientific center, has been successfully realizing the system of extended advanced training, certification of doctors, medical teachers, scientists and health personnel for 80 years. The Academy consists of 4 faculties, 52 departments, Bio-Medical Research Center, Professorial Medical Consulting Center. BelMAPO has a highly qualified scientific and teaching staff: 2 Academicians, 2 Corresponding Members of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, 72 Doctors of Medicine and more than 200 PhDs.

Annually 18 thousand doctors improve their professional skills in BelMAPO. More than 600 doctors including specialists from Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East study at Doctoral candidacy, PhD courses and clinical residency. BelMAPO has a wide experience in efficient cooperation with foreign medical institutions.

Belarusian Medical Academy of Post-Graduate Education trains specialists with higher medical education in more than 70 medical specialties.

The main BelMAPO activity is to perform retraining and professional skills improvement.

BelMAPO provides training at Clinical residency and PhD courses in more than 50 medical majors. Duration of clinical residency is from 2 to 5 years (graduating a resident gets a certificate). PhD course presupposes fulltime tuition which covers the period of 3-4 years.

Prices for clinical residency training and PhD courses per year (USD):

BelMAPO also provides various study courses. The period of study is determined by the organization which sends the specialist for the training and should be confirmed by BelMAPO according to the purposes and course outline. On the morrow of the course the resident draws up the report to his supervisor in his home country.

Study in doctoral candidacy is provided on the contract basis.

Obtaining Visa

To get the visa of the Republic of Belarus you have to give an invitation from BelMAPO to Belarusian consular office. You can also get the visa in the Consular Department of the Ministry of foreign affairs of the Republic of Belarus at the airport. The cost of the visa depends on the foreign citizen's country of residence.

Registration in BelMAPO

You should prepare and bring the following documents to the Department for Doctoral candidacy, PhD course and Clinical residency of BelMAPO:  

• Passport with a visa of the Republic of Belarus with a purpose for studying and notarized Russian translation of it.
• Copy of Diploma of higher education (with notarized translation in Russian)
• Health certificate
• Copy of birth certificate (with notarized translation in Russian)
• 6 photos (size 3x4)
• Interning certificate (with notarized translation in Russian)

Hostel is provided.
