History of the department The department of functional diagnostics was formed in January in 1980. In 1980-200 professor G.A. Vechersky was head of the department, in 2000-2008 – professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences A.G.Bulgak, since March 2008 the department has been headed by L.Y.Ushakova, Candidate of Medical Sciences.
The main advanced training courses:
- Instrumental and functional diagnostics of heart and vessel diseases
- Assessment of external respiration function
- Electrocardio diagnostics of rhythm and conduction disturbance
- Echocardiography
- Ultrasound examination of abdominal cavity organs and endocrine system
- Functional diagnostics in pediatry
- Instrumental diagnostics of coronary heart disease.

Scientific work: Examination of cardiovascular system with patients suffered from coronary heart disease, arterial hypertension, acute renal insufficiency under the influence of external factors (temperature, appearance, Earth’s magnetic field and others), toxic factors, intoxication by drugs, food poisoning.
