The department of orthopaedic stomatology has been functioning since 1977. Nowadays it has a well-qualified teaching staff proving courses of advanced of professional development in 18 different specialties for orthopaedic stomatologists, general stomatologists, dental mechanics. Stomatologists are always welcome to undergo doctorship and courses at the clinical residency.
The staff is involved in treatment and consultation work, organizes practical conferences, provides orthopaedic stomatological care in all nosological forms.
The staff constantly participates in All-Russian and international congresses and forums. The staff greatly contributed into scientific and practical conferences.
 Education
The process of teaching has always been undergoing changes to improve its quality. The teaching staff uses visual aids, technical tutorials, organizes different kinds of tests.
The teaching programs are made for orthopedic stomatologists, general stomatologists and dental mechanics. They acquire knowledge in teeth and dentition restoration with the usage of metal-ceramic crowns and intercalated prosthesis, in prosthetics on implants, in microprosthetics. The teaching program also includes: modern endodentistry, treatment and diagnostic methods of non-caries teeth damage, methods of application of modern restoration materials, methods of teeth whitening.
Treatment work
The staff of the department provides:
• Consultations with patients, using additional examination
• Treatment with the help of stationary and removable prosthesis with the usage of modern technologies and materials
• Treatment of system diseases (pathologic teeth erasability, parodontitis, parodontotis)
• Production of teeth prosthesis in special laboratories
