The department of Child Stomatology was founded in 2005.
At the 1st Child Stomatological Polyclinic there are 2 treatment rooms with 3 stomatological devices, and at the 3d Child polyclinic there is one treatment room with 1 device. The department is equipped with modern demonstrative devices (multimedia projector).
 Advanced training courses:
Advances courses at the department aim at the actual questions of therapeutic stomatology and orthodontics. The courses are underwent by general dentists, therapeutic dentists, child dentists and orthodontists, and also teaching staff of educational medical establishments and residents.
Thematically, the circles are closely connected with the actual questions of modern stomatology. Thus, at present, more actual themes of the courses include preexposure and postexposure prophylaxis of stomatological diseases; individual solutions of this problem with children of different ages. While treating solid tooth tissue a special attention is paid to the conception of minimum preparation, optimal choice of filling and restoration material. The dentists pay attention to the peculiarities of endodontic treatment of children of different ages.
Aiming at the prophylaxis and treatment of periodontium tissues and mucous tunic of oral cavity the department organizes a number of stomatologic measures on individual and professional hygiene of children, adolescents and adults.
The department deals with the problem of maxillary anomalies and inborn malformations among children. The staff is also interested in diagnostics in orthodontics, complex rehabilitation.
The main forms of classes - lectures, seminars, participation in scientific, clinical and anatomic conferences. The classes are held with the presence of patients, with clinical discussions.
The main directions of the scientific and research work:
Provision of caries resistance of solid tooth tissues due to the choice optimization of methods and measures for exogenic prophylaxis of children being treated.
