During the last 15-20 years the most important scientific problems have been the problems of cardiology, clinical immunology, rheumatology and allergology.
The department provides advanced courses for pediatricians, adolescent’s doctors, children’s allergists, cardiologists, rheumatologists, nephrologists, gastroenterologists and for teachers of medical educational establishments on the following topics:
1. Respiratory organ diseases with children and adolescents
2. Urinary system diseases with children and adolescents
3. Alimentary organ diseases with children and adolescents
4. Cardiovascular system diseases with children and adolescents
5. Allergic diseases with children and adolescents
6. Clinical immunology and allergology in pediatrics
7. Pathology with children of early ages
8. Modern aspects of rheumatic diseases with children and adolescents

There are also retraining courses of pediatrics for trainee doctors and for doctors with a 3-years work experience.
The 4th Child Clinical Hospital in Minsk:
The 4th Child Clinical Hospital in Minsk – is a multisectoral treatment and diagnostic establishment, equipped with modern diagnostic devices.
There are 6 pediatric departments for 320 beds (department of intensive therapy and resuscitation, department of allergy, gastroenterology, rheumatology, and pediatrics for adolescents, psychiatry) and 2 surgical departments (departments of ophthalmology and oral surgery).
Every year more than 10000 of children aged from 1 month to 18 years are treated at the hospital. More than 60% are consulted by the staff of the department. The The administration staff of the hospital together with the staff of the department actively participates in the organization of City and Republican seminars and conferences. The staff of the department makes a huge methodological and scientific work.
