History of the department:
The department was founded in 1991. Professor V.T. Kondrashenko became head of the department. Nowadays there are more than 500 psychotherapists in Belarus. The department is situated in the 10th Minsk Multifield Hospital.
 Scientific work of the department:
• psychotherapy of neurotic and behavioral disorders
• psychosomatic and sexual diseases
• methods of directive and nondirective psychotherapy
• medical psychology
In 1999 the course of child psychiatry and psychotherapy was founded.
The results of scientific researches are implemented into the process of treatment. There are special conferences with a discussion of important theoretical and practical questions.
