The Order of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus from 22 of March 1994 ’On certifying norm documentation for high educational establishments’ the term of its responsibility is up to 3 years.
From 26th of December 1947 The Council of the Belarusian Medical Academy of Post-Graduate Education in academy. It’s a representative collegial organ (before 2000 it was called Scientific council). Its activity is regulated by the current legislation of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health and the Higher Certification Committee legislative acts, the Statute of the Academy and the Regulations on the Council of the state higher educational establishment ’the Belarusian Medical Academy of Post-Graduate Education’.
The members of the Council are the Rector of the Academy (President), Vice-Rectors, Scientific Secretary, Deans, representatives of the teaching and scientific staff of the Academy heads of the structural subdivisions of the Academy, president of syndicates. At present time there are 70 members of the Council.
The council woks in accordance with the approved annual plan.
- the Council of the Academy discuss the draft of the Statute of the Academy;
- solves the problems of creation, liquidation and reorganization of faculties, Departments and other structural subdivisions of the Academy;
- hear the account of the Rector (annually), Pro-Rectors, Heads of the Departments and other structural subdivisions of the Academy;
- revises the problems of developing the material and technical facilities of the Academy;
- in established order considers problems of the substitution of teaching and research posts;
- considers questions of presentation for governmental awards, scientific and honored degrees;
- nominates candidates for acting and corresponding members of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Belarus;
- approves the themes of the dissertations;
- considers the problems of preparing and publishing text-books, guides, monographs etc.
On the gathering of the Council the Regulation on the title ’Honored Academician of the ’Belarusian Medical Academy of Post-Graduate Education’ was approved in order to promote enlarged medical and cultural links, reinforce the prestige of the Academy, encouraging the research, social and pedagogical activity of outstanding citizens of Belarus and foreign specialists. |
