In December 1991, according to the Ministry of Health order, the Republican Certification Commission was created for up-dating professional skills of medical personnel, their qualification and rational distribution of specialists aimed at the improved medical aid to the population of the Republic of Belarus. The Commission started its activity on the base of BelIAMT from 1992, the Certification Department was founded. The first head of the Certification Department was A.N. Mizyak, Pro -Rector for the Certification Work (1991 - 1993). From 1993 to 1995, this position was held by A.G. Mrochek. Y.A. Tarassov headed the Department from 1994 to 1998, from 1998 to 2005 the head was N.F. Shestak. The Department is guided in its activity by the orders and resolutions of the Ministry of Health.

With the administration’s assistance the center for information technologies installed two new computer classes: for training and for certification. |
